Bilal Arman is the founder and creative director of Abu Misk. Dubbed as the street perfumist by his clientele, Bilal traces his love for scent back to the sixth grade. Bilal was 12 years old when his older brother Yusuf challenged him to sell a bottle of cologne at a local street vending event. Little did he know he would fall in love with scent and sales.
Bilal created Abu Misk as an ode to the multicultural, the hyphenated, the othered. As the youngest of seven in a Palestinian- American household, Bilal grew up with a family of serial entrepreneurs.
Following in his family's footsteps Bilal defied retail norms by creating a mobile perfumery. Providing a uniquely customized shop experience, the moment he pops his trunk his clients are transported into a world where they are included valued and prioritized.
On a mission to make the world a better place, Bilal believes that when you smell good, you feel good and when you feel good you do good.
